Chipmunk Capture and Release

The second entry on this blog contained a story about a chipmunk. That was August, 2008. Ten months later, Parke caught the little thing, and we released it up the road, into the woods. Here is the "Capture" pic and "Release" video.

Cat Sitting Chloe

From Sat, May 9 till Sat, May 16, we are cat sitting a 15 year old cat who just had 9 teeth removed. Our friends are on vacation. We have Chloe, their Siamese. Everything is going smoothly. No fights between our cats and her. At first she picked the sofa as her spot. Then the chair. In less than 24 hours she was everywhere. It's her house as much as the others'. She fits right in. Buttons is the most curious. The other five cats totally ignore her. She is very talkative. If I call her name, she comes to me. Very affectionate.

Feeding the Two Kittens

No picture. Just a story.
We feed the two kittens, Zippy and Buttons, in the bathroom. It's the only way for them to have kitten food without the four adult cats eating it. Whenever we open the door, Zippy is always on the sink right at the door waiting to be left out. Buttons is on the floor.
Many times we forget the kittens are in there. If we let them in there for any significant amount of time, Buttons goes in the tub, pulls down the bath mat into the tub, and takes a nap on it. It's hilarious. What a smart girl.

Zippy on Kitchen Cabinetry

Today was the first time I saw Zippy at this location. Notice how her paws are over the edge. It's her signature pose.

Chickens Taking Baths (Video)

This is my first attempt to put a video on here.

Parke left the chickens out this morning. They love being against the house because this is the only place the ground isn't frozen. They had quite a time this morning taking a dirt bath. Zippy is watching thru the basement window.

Zippy and the Laser Pointer

This is Jon's fault. We've watched a bit of football this season. Jon brought over a laser pointer. Zippy LOVES it. So now any time Parke or I watch TV, Zippy is on the TV stand looking at the floor or ceiling waiting for that red spot to appear. She can sit there by the hour waiting. I have way over a dozen pictures of her sitting there. We now watch TV around Zippy.

Doodah and Buttons

Guess I have nothing better to do than post pictures of some of my favorite felines.
